Dunhinda Waterfall
Despite being 64 meters lower than the highest waterfall in Sri Lanka, “Dunhinda” is one of the most talked-about waterfalls in the country. In terms of natural beauty, it rivals nearly all waterfalls. This is well located and regularly frequented; it is about 2 km from the major road that connects the isolated city of Badulla in the Uva Province with Taldena. The word “Dun” means mist or vapor in the local language, symbolizing the misty cloud the falls cast over its surroundings. KudaDunhinda, the prelude to its huge brother, may be viewed on the route to Dunhinda (Kuda means little in Sinhala).
