Bambarakanda Ella

The Bambarakanda falls proclaim that they are the highest waterfall in the nation, although they are not frequently seen owing to their remote location. It is a seasonal waterfall with a capacity peak from October to March and is the 263rd highest waterfall in the world. It is located in Kalupahana, Badulla District, four miles from the Colombo-Bandarawela road in a woodland glade, accessible by the Haputale-Kalupahana Road, and 22 kilometers from the nearest town, Balangoda. A KudaOya-named branch of the Walwe River creates Bambarakanda Falls.
