Diyaluma Waterfall
Diyaluma is the second-highest waterfall in Sri Lanka, yet many people think it is the tallest due to its spectacular height of 220 meters. It is situated in the Badulla District, 6 km from Koslanda, and flows toward KirindiOya through a bridge on the Beragala–Wellawaya highway. The name, which in Sinhalese means “fast flow of water,” is accurate, especially during the rainy season. According to a local myth, the Gods built this stunning cascade to weep endlessly in the desert after seeing the anguish of a prince whose runaway infatuation culminated in the death of his lover, whom he had attempted to pull over the Diyaluma cliff. The summit of the fall is well-known for being a camping area.
